The Gallbladder channel originates from the outer canthus at Tongziliao (GB 1), ascends to Hanyan (GB 4), crossing through Erheliao (TH 22) and Touwei (ST 8). It then curves downward to the retroauricular region, passing Jiaosun (TH 20) as it travels from Wangu (GB 12) to Fengchi (GB 20). Descending pass Tianrong (SI 17), it reaches the top of the shoulder at Jianjing (GB 21). Turning back, it traverses towards Dazhui (GV 14), Dazhu (BL 11), and Bingfeng (SI 12) to the supraclavicular fossa.
The retroauricular branch arises from the area behind the ear and enters the ear at Yifeng (TH 17). It then reemerges in front of the ear, crossing Tinggong (SI 19) and Xiaguan (ST 7), to the outer canthus.
The branch arising from the outer canthus runs downward towards Daying (ST 5) and meets the SJ channel in the infraorbital region. Then, passing Jiache (ST 6), it descends to the neck and enters the supraclavicular fossa where it meets the main channel. From there it further descends into the chest, passes through the diaphragm to connect with the liver and enters the GB organ. Then it runs inside the hypochondriac region, comes out from the lateral side of the lower abdomen near the femoral artery at the inguinal region. From there it runs superficially along the margin of the pubic hair and goes transversely to Huantiao (GB 30).
The straight branch runs downward from the supraclavicular fossa, passes in front of the axilla from Yuanye (GB 22) through Daimai (GB 26), crosses Zhangmen (LR 13) to the hip region, and passes Shangliao (BL 31) through Xialiao (BL 34) to meet the previous branch at Huantiao (GB 30). It then descends to Fengshi (GB 31), and ends at Zuqiaoyin (GB 44).
The branch from the dorsum of the foot emerges from Zulinqi (GB 41), runs between the 1st and 2nd metatarsal bones to Dadun (LR 1), where it connects with the LR channel.
