Taibai (SP 3)

Location

On the medial side of the great toe, proximal and inferior to the 1st metatarsophalangeal joint, in the depression at the junction of the red and white skin.

Indications
  • Vomiting, borborygmus, gastric pain, abdominal distension, constipation, dysentery, diarrhea
  • Heaviness of the body, beriberi
Applications
  • Tonifies the Spleen, resolves dampness and damp-heat
  • Harmonizes the Spleen and Stomach
  • Regulates qi

Needle perpendicularly 0.3-0.5 cun. Moxibustion is applicable.
