Youmen (KI 21)

Location

6 cun above the umbilicus, 0.5 cun lateral to Juque (CV 14).

Indications
  • Abdominal pain, distension, indigestion
  • Vomiting, diarrhea, nausea
  • Morning sickness
Applications
  • Strengthens the Spleen, harmonizes the Stomach, alleviates qi rebellion
  • Spreads Liver qi, benefits the chest and breasts, alleviates pain
Balance Method: 
Techniques

Needle perpendicularly 0.3-0.7 cun. Deep insertion is not advisable as it may puncture the liver.
