Daying (ST 5)

Location

Anterior to the angle of mandible, in a depression at the anterior border of the masseter muscle. The point is located in the groove-like depression appearing when the cheek is bulged.

Indications
  • Facial paralysis, trismus, swelling of the cheek
  • Pain in the face, toothache
Applications
  • Eliminates wind and reduces swelling
Balance Method: 
Techniques

Needle obliquely 0.3-0.5 cun. Avoid puncturing the facial artery.
