Pizhong (T 11.18)

Location

The Master Tung Acupuncture point, T 11.18 Pizhong, is a two-point set on the palmar aspect of the middle finger, along the midline of the middle phalanx (line C). Divide the middle phalanx into thirds, and located these two points at 1/3 and 2/3 the distance between the PIP and DIP joints.

Notes:

For palmar finger points, measure from the palmar digital crease to the proximal interphalangeal crease rather than from MCP to PIP joints.
This finger line system for locating Zone 11 points is adopted from "Advanced Tung Style Acupuncture: Dao Ma" by James Maher.

Indications

Primary:

Disorders of the Spleen
- Splenomegaly, pancreatitis, splenitis, splenceratosis, abdominal bloating
Chest and upper back pain, leg and toe pain
