Lianquan (CV 23)

Location

On the anterior midline, in the depression at the superior border of the hyoid bone.

Indications
  • Swelling and pain of the subglossal region, salivation with glossoplegia
  • Aphasia with stiffness of tongue by apoplexy
  • Sudden hoarseness of the voice, difficulty in swallowing, cough
Applications
  • Benefits the tongue
  • Descends qi
Techniques

Needle obliquely 0.5-1.0 cun toward the tongue root.
