Juquan (Ex-HN10)

Location

Along the midline of the tongue, this point is the located at the midpoint from the tip to the back of the tongue

Indications
  • Tongue stiffness, slow movement of the tongue, diminshed taste in the mouth
  • Chronic cough, asthma, diabetes
Applications
  • Opens the orifices
  • Stops cough and arrests wheezing
Techniques

Perpendicular needling 0.1-0.2 cun or blood-letting. In the past, 3-7 zhuang of soybean sized moxa with ginger was done on this point for chronic cough, but it's rarely used today.
