Baihui (GV 20)

Location

At the vertex, on the midline of the head, 5 cun posterior to the anterior hairline, approximately at the midpoint of the line connecting the apexes of both ears.

Indications
  • Prolapse of the rectum and uterus
  • Headache, vertigo, tinnitus
  • Nasal obstruction
  • Aphasia by apoplexy, coma, mental disorders
Applications
  • Pacifies wind, subdues Liver yang 
  • Raises yang, counters prolapse
  • Benefits the head and sense organs
  • Nourishes the sea of marrow, calms the spirit
Techniques

Needle subcutaneously 0.3-0.5 cun.
