Zhourong (SP 20)

Location

In the 2nd intercostal space, 6 cun lateral to the anterior midline.

Indications
  • Fullness in the chest and hypochondriac region
  • Cough, hiccup
Applications
  • Regulates and descends qi and unbinds the chest
Balance Method: 
Techniques

Needle obliquely 0.3-0.5 cun. Perpendicular insertion is not advisable as it may induce pneumothorax.
