Shangguan (GB 3)

Location

Anterior to the ear, on the upper border of the zygomatic arch, in the depression directly above Xiaguan (ST 7).

Indications
  • Headache, toothache
  • Deafness, tinnitus, diplacusis
  • Deviation of the eye and mouth
Applications
  • Eliminates wind, benefits the ears
  • Activates the channel, alleviates pain
Balance Method: 
Techniques

Needle perpendicularly 0.3-0.5 cun. Deep insertion is not advisable.
