Yaoyi (Ex-B6)

Location

On the posterior midline, 3 cun lateral to the depression below the spinous process of the 4th lumbar vertebra.

Indications
  • Back pain, soft tissue injury of the back, spinal muscle spasms
  • Irregular menstruation, Beng lou (flooding and spotting)
Applications
  • Regulates qi, harmonizes the middle jiao
Techniques

Needle perpendicularly 1-1.2 cun or needle 2.5-3 cun at 15 degree angle towards the the spine. Moxa for 15-20 minutes.
