Zhejin (GB 23)

Location

1 cun anterior to Yuanye (GB 22), at the level of the nipple, in the 4th intercostal space.

Indications
  • Fullness of the chest
  • Hypochondriac pain
  • Asthma
Applications
  • Loosens the chest, calms rebellious qi
  • Regulates qi in the three jiao
Balance Method: 
Techniques

Needle obliquely 0.3-0.5 cun. Deep or perpendicular insertion is not advisable as it may puncture the lung.
