Shuiqu (T 66.09)

Location

This point overlaps with Zulinqi (GB 41), which is between the 4th and 5th metatarsal bones, 1.5 cun proximal to the web margin, in the depression lateral to the tendon of the m. extensor digiti minimi of the foot.

Indications
Primary: 
  • Back pain
  • Edema, fluid retention, swelling of the limbs from poor kidney function
  • Tinnitus, itchy eyes
Secondary: 
  • Muscle atrophy, numbness
  • Generalized joint pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, wrist pain or weakness, nerve pain, sciatica on the GB channel, xing bi (mobile painful obstruction), dai (girdle) channel waist pain
  • Weight loss
  • Abdominal distension
