  • Point 1 is 1 cun superior to the center of the posterior hairline in the depression directly below the occipital protuberance. This point overlaps with Fengfu (GV 16).
  • Point 2 is at the center of the posterior hairline, 1 cun inferior to Point 1.
  • Point 3 is 2 cun inferior to Point 2.
  • Points 4 and 5 are 0.8 cun lateral and 0.8 cun inferior to Point 2, one on each side.
  • Points 6 and 7 are 1 cun inferior to Points 4 and 5.
Indications
Primary: 
  • Vomiting, acute enteritis, summer-stroke
  • Common cold with headache
  • Fever (infantile) and internal wind conditions with spasms and tremors in children

Techniques

This point can be bled. Pinch the skin first prior to pricking for blood. Be extra cautious in children not to injure the nerve of the brain which may lead to deafness or aphasia. Bleeding the first three points are usually sufficient to see results.
