Location

This point overlaps with Sanyinjiao (SP 6), which is 3 cun directly above the tip of the medial malleolus along the posterior border of the tibia.

Indications

Primary:

Kidney disorders: nephritis, edema, proteinuria
Any urinary disorders: lin zheng (dysuria syndrome), xue lin (bloody dysuria), cystitis, nocturnal emission, ascites
Kidney deficiency with impotence, premature ejaculation, spermatorrhea, back pain (chronic or deficiency)

Secondary:

Dysmenorrhea, post-partum urinary retention, post-tubal ligation complications
Spine pain, neck pain
Eye pain, dizziness
Hand numbness, neurotic dermatitis
Diarrhea, diabetes

Contraindications:

Contraindicated during pregnancy
