Shuiyu (T 44.17)

Location

The Master Tung Acupuncture point, T 44.17 Shuiyu, overlaps with Naoshu (SI 10). When the arm is adducted, follow the posterior axillary crease superiorly to a depression just below the scapular spine. Some sources state this point is 0.5 cun below Jianzhen (SI 9), which is posterior and inferior to the shoulder joint, 1 cun above the posterior end of the axillary fossa.

Indications
Primary: 

Kidney stones, nephritis, proteinuria, low back pain

Secondary: 
  • Dorsal wrist pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, arm pain, leg muscle pain
  • General weakness
  • Urticaria, excessive perspiration, nail fungus

Techniques
