Juque (CV 14)

Location

On the anterior midline, 6 cun above the umbilicus.

Indications
  • Cardiac and chest pain, palpitation
  • Nausea, acid regurgitation, difficulty in swallowing, vomiting
  • Mental disorders, epilepsy
Applications
  • Regulates the Heart, alleviates pain, descends Lung qi, loosens the chest 
  • Harmonizes the Stomach, descends rebellious qi, 
  • Transforms phlegm, calms the spirit
Techniques

Needle perpendicularly 0.3-0.8 cun. Oblique insertion towards the heart is contraindicated.
