Location

This point overlaps with Gongsun (SP 4), which is located on the medial side of the foot, in the depression distal and inferior to the base of the first metatarsal bone.

Indications
Primary: 

Hypertension:

  • Headache, distention in the head, limited range of motion of the neck
  • Numbness of the hand and fingers, weakness of the limbs, fatigue
  • Palpations, dizziness, heart failure
Secondary: 
  • Blurred vision, soreness of the eyelids, eye pain due to increased pressure in the eyes
  • Post-stroke delirium, meningitis, brain tumor, neurasthenia
Contraindications: 
Bilateral needling is contraindicated
